Day 13 Valentine Count Down-Teacher Gifts

My kids Valentine's Day parties at school are today. So, here is what we are giving their teachers. We loved the red hot, heart marshmallows so we had to let the teachers partake in their yummy-ness. Then, we also had our traditional heart suckers (that I swear we have made every year of my life! Valentine's isn't Valentine's with out Nana's Suckers)to give to the teachers as well. Since all of these things are hearts, I thought I had to stay with the heart theme. I found gorgeous paper that wasn't too cutsey valentine, yet were pink! Then, I made these awesome heart purses. Cute, hu!?
I cut the heart purses out of the fantastic paper I found! I also cut out matching heart cards to go with them, and some extra hearts to go on the baggies of goodies as well.
You can see that I also chose to do a heart box. Here they are all glued up and ready to be filled.
I also made up just some baggies of the suckers and marshmallows for the kids to give to extra people like their close friends, bus drivers, etc. Here is how I bagged up the goodies.
The suckers I just put in a cellophane bag and tied off with pink ribbons (that coordinated with the various papers that I used for the purses and bags).
Did you know that I made another batch of those awesome marshmallows? Yum-me!
I ran the extra hearts that I cut out, through the xyron to affix to the backs of the cellophane baggies to keep them closed nicely.
This is what the backs of the purses looked like. I had cut out holes in the front and back of the purse to run a ribbon through. The ribbon ties in the front, but runs through the back to attach the coordinating heart shaped cards to. This ribbon runs through the middle of the purse, so it also helps the contents of the purse to stay in. Thankfully marshmallow mushes a bit so that this all fit in nice and snug so that I wont worry about parts falling out before they make it to the teachers!
These templates weren't for door hangers, but I thought they sure looked cute hanging from my doorknobs!
I loved the glitter on this paper!

Oh these are adorable Rebecca. I'm sure I wouldn't mind if one of those ended up on my front door;)

Love them! You could put them on front door knobs then ring and run. That would be cute. I imagine you could make thing in any themed paper and do that for Birthday's or even booing.

I am temped to try making the marshmallows. But I have to make peanut butter cups first.

Do you have to put the marshmallows in a big sheet pan our could you pour some into shaped baking cups too?

Kat, I suppose you could do them in baking cups too. But you would have to really grease the cups up. I did try to do the marshmallows in heart shaped muffin pans. The stuff you turn out onto the pan is pretty unruly. I'll be interested to know how it works for you. One thing that would work would be to put the marshmallow goop into a tube to pipe out (like to make Peep looking chicks.)

This looks beautiful. Do you have a layout of how to do the heart? I would love to give this to the kids at church. Thanks a bunch.
