Tuesdays with Dorie Yogurt Lemon Cake with Glaze

Today's Tuesdays with Dorie recipe was chosen by Liliana of Cookbook Addiction.

This was so simple. And it is delish! This may become my new go to recipe for simple cake to throw together in a minute. So, so simple. I had to taste the batter. You know, to make sure it was good. I know, it isn't a good idea. I ate cake batter all through my youth and I think I'm ok. But if you eat cake batter, this is the one to eat. Yummy!! The cake is kind of like a pound cake. It is dense and the glaze makes it perfect. Not too sweet, just melt in your mouth yummy.

There is a cute little story about this being the cake French children learn how to make first. They use their yogurt cup to measure out the ingredients. I think I will have to let the boys make this with me the next time I make it. And there will be a next time!! Go check out the other TWD bakers and see all the amazing things they came up with.

I ate cake batter too and I think I turned out ok. But I could be wrong. :D

I'll have to make this cake just to have a swipe of the batter!

You know what's funny.. I had never heard of dorie before (or the cooking with her thing) and just last night I was talking to my bff and she mentioned this very book/blog thing. HOW NEAT! What a small world you know!

HUGS!

An easy Dorie recipe? I can't imagine such a thing. But if you say so... I guess I'll check it out. The picture is drool-worthy.
